Youth Outreach Programs

Youth-in-Transition Worker Program (YITW)
Using a strength-based, client-centred approach, the Youth-in-Transition Worker supports youth ages 16-24 years old who are leaving CAS care and transitioning into adulthood, in Simcoe County.

Delivered through an outreach model, youth can receive the following supports:

Youth Gambling Awareness
The YMCA Youth Gambling Awareness Program is a prevention and education program designed to help reduce the potential harm that may be associated with youth gambling. Through harm reduction, we will give youth accurate information and support them to make their own informed decisions about gambling.

SOAR stands for “Set Objectives Achieve Results” and is delivered in partnership with Ontario Works. This one-week small group program is designed to assist Ontario Works clients gain the life skills and self-esteem needed to re-enter the work force or participate in a community placement.

The Community Outreach and Support Program
We offer support to youth in conflict with the law across various communities of Simcoe County. Youth who are referred by their Probation Officer are offered a wide range of supports to assist in meeting their unique needs which often include counseling, for personal issues such as:
